Culture  /  The Hamlet of Verbier

This museum devotes over 1,000 square metres of exhibit space to a vast number of objects that testify to three centuries of the history of alpine civilisation (living conditions, work, culture) and the changeover to a modern society (transportation, hydroelectric power).

The museum will be open from Tuesday to Friday from 10-12pm and from 1.30pm to 6pm. Saturday and Sunday from 1.30pm to 6pm. From 10 people, opening on request.

This chapel was built by Pierre Dorsaz in 1985. The 3000-piece organ is one of a kind. The stained-glass windows were created at the Ecole Française de Reims by master glaziers and depict a rescue scene.
Other sights: the altar and the Christ.
Ideal for weddings and baptisms.
This square in the centre of the hamlet contains the world's largest sundial, a village oven, a business arcade and a restaurant.
The Le Hameau complex has a theatre, "the Forum", that holds 150 to 250 people.
Be sure to visit the hamlet of Verbier, a harmonious blend of contemporary architecture and traditional construction methods.
