The Via Ferrata in Les Gentianes will open for the season on 14 July.

The Via Ferrata in Les Gentianes will open for the season on 14 July.-41611 Via Ferrata des Gentianes

To climb the Via Ferrata, you’ll need a helmet, harness and lanyards. Full kit (helmet, harness and lanyards) can be hired at the “Les Gentianes” restaurant. You can also use your own equipment (including traditional lanyards).

Hiring a guide is not essential. However, if you do not have extensive experience in this sport, they charge by the day, in the same way as on guided climbing trips.



The routes:

Route 1:

Level of difficulty: quite difficult

Estimated length: 120 m Altitude difference: 85 m

Altitude at starting point: 2,960 m /Altitude at finish: 3,041 m

The route 1 is accessible to children from 6 years of age, as long as they are accompanied by a professional. 

 

Route 2:

Level of difficulty: difficult / very difficult

Estimated length: 180 m Altitude difference: 141 m

Altitude at starting point: 2,900 m /Altitude at finish: 3,041 m

The route 2 is recommanded for people who measure at least 1m40.

The descent is the same for both routes.
