SALLE DES COMBINS | ÉGLISE
Great masters, new musical discoveries and inspiring mountain vistas are in abundance for this 26th edition. The Verbier Festival’s trademark mainstage programme features nearly 60 concerts by today’s most revered concert artists and exciting talents on the rise. Salle des Combins hosts all symphonic and lyrique concerts by the three Festival orchestras, piano recitals by Evgeny Kissin and Grigory Sokolov, and two non-classical evenings. The intimate Église de Verbier is home to the Festival’s many solo and chamber music recitals.
ACADEMY | ORCHESTRA | JUNIOR ORCHESTRA
The Verbier Festival is an important stepping stone in the careers of today’s most talented young musicians. Each summer, they take part in the Verbier Festival Academy (VFA), Verbier Festival Orchestra (VFO)—led by Music Director Valery Gergiev—and Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra (VFJO), where they are inspired by great masters and fine-tune their talent. Witness these musicians in action on the Festival’s mainstage and at more than 100 free masterclasses, performances and open rehearsals.
