From the Musée de Bagnes to the Mauvoisin dam, artist Camille Llobet invites you to spend a day following in her creative footsteps as she explores her ‘Glacier Noir’ project.
Camille Llobet takes you on a day-long tour of her work. A chance to discover the ‘Glacier noir’ project for a day, in her company, starting at the Musée de Bagnes and ending at the Mauvoisin dam.
French artist Camille Llobet is using thirty large-format photographs to explore the moraines of the Mer de Glace, the piles of rocky debris left behind by the retreating glaciers. Through framing that is sometimes macroscopic, sometimes panoramic, she reveals a mineral landscape of striking materials and shapes, punctuated by the occasional silhouette or plant. The eye follows the strata and sandy walls of this breach deserted by the ice. To complement the exhibition at the Mauvoisin dam, the video installation ‘Glacière’ is being shown at the Musée de Bagnes, in the vaulted cellar.
