Take on Verbier for sporting performances that will live up to your dreams

Via ferrata, trail running, hiking or mountain biking. In summer, outdoor sports are in the spotlight. Do you want to challenge yourself? Then come and test yourself on the Val de Bagnes routes and share some great moments with friends. Verbier promises you an experience you’ll never forget.

Summer for you is a season of opportunities. The outdoor sporting activities on offer are just what you’ve been dreaming about all year long! The mountain is calling you, with walls to climb and slopes to go down. Cycling, hiking, trail running or climbing… If you want to nourish your soul and not choose between all these activities, then we have some advice for you: come and spend a few days with us! Verbier and its many facets offer you an amazing and infinite playground!

As soon as you set foot onto the sun-baked pastures, you know you won’t want to leave them. With your best friends, who are as experienced as you are, you find yourselves at the bottom of the Val de Bagnes, early in the morning, ready to climb, one foot in ahead of the other, up the rock face in front of you. Welcome to the Via Ferrata in the Mauvoisin Gorge. It’s a Wednesday in July and this exceptional adventure lies ahead of you, among many you can come to expect. From the car park of the Mauvoisin hotel, you head to the Madzeria site and set off for a dizzying but safe climb over a 600-metre course – footbridges, monkey bridges, ladders and other zip lines follow one after another for a moment of sheer pleasure.

During a traditional meal that you share at the Mauvoisin Hotel, your hosts tell you the history of their establishment, which is closely linked to the construction of the dam of the same name. That’s all it takes to arouse your curiosity and you decide to walk along the dam trail with its photographic exhibition before heading to Verbier.

Since its central location immediately appealed to you, the Mirabeau Hotel is where you’ve chosen to stay. When you arrive, you also receive a Verbier Infinite Playground Pass including either free or discounted access to a number of hand-picked activities. What a nice surprise! A quick trip to the sauna, a tasty raclette around the corner and into bed! Because the alarm clock is set for an early start…

On Thursday mornings in the summer, nature lovers meet at Mont-Fort at 3300 m to watch the sunrise over the numerous magnificent mountain peaks in the surrounding area. Access is via the ski lifts, or on foot for those who are more inclined. Reaching the summit is a real treat for the eyes and all the senses! If you want to make this wonderful feeling of wellbeing last, you can opt for an outdoor yoga session. You’ve then earned the hearty breakfast that’s being served at the Col des Gentianes at the bottom of the Mont-Fort cable car. But the day has barely begun… The next part of the schedule – the Bisse du Levron – will allow you to keep on enjoying the scenery while also getting some exercise. There’s nothing like walking along these waterways, ancient irrigation canals that are a historical testimony to economic life in the Valais. Charged up by your morning activities, you decide to do the first part of the descent by trail running. Halfway down, a gourmet break is called for when you spot the restaurant La Marmotte and its beautiful sunny terrace. The walk continues effortlessly until you reach the ravine at Levron with its pretty waterfall. You arrive back in Verbier, excited but happy. In the evening, you suggest taking advantage of the resort’s cosmopolitan offerings and opt for an Indonesian restaurant. A real treat!

The end of your getaway is fast approaching. To round off your adventure in style, mountain bikers like you might be tempted to try the electric bike experience – accompanied by a guide from the BikePark team. You load up your bikes – rented on site – onto a post bus (thanks to the VIP Pass) and head off to Le Châble from where a demanding loop takes you to the summit of the Croix du Six Blanc, at 2100 m. It’s a beautiful 4-hour ride, coupled with a welcome break at the restaurant de la Côt.

With your heart and mind rested and full of unforgettable memories, you head away from the mountains, ready to return at the first opportunity. On our side, we’ve kept our promise: In Verbier, anything is possible.
