What about a hike on foot or in snowshoes (depending on snow conditions), accompanied by a guide, through our small corner of paradise? You may just need a little help from the forest dwellers to guide your footsteps towards the mountain chalet where, after the hike, you’ll be tucking into a superb fondue made with local cheese.

The trek on foot or on snowshoes (depending on snow conditions) starts out from close to the Col des Planches in a landscape that is so typical of our region.
The group hike with your guide, which should take roughly two and a half hours at a nice, gentle pace, will be tracking the plentiful variety of surprising clues left by our local woodland creatures. These tell-tale signs of their presence are fairly easy to spot in winter, and you’ll come across them all along the route. Watch out for them, take a closer look and learn more about them. Squirrel? Deer? Fox? Chamois? Wild boar? It doesn’t really matter. These living creatures, big or small, will be all around you, keeping themselves to themselves. Remember though you’re trespassing on their home territories. Treat them with respect: they will be keeping their beady eyes on you.
Let yourselves be carried away by the sheer joy of this unchallenging hike before arriving at your destination: one of the region’s mountain chalets. Snug in the chalet’s warmth, you will prepare a fondue with others in the group, not forgetting, of course, to share the odd glass of the local Fendant white wine. You will be picked up after your meal at the chalet and ferried by taxi to get back to Verbier for 3.45 p.m.
