    Skis and snowboards are among the most important alpine accessories. We strap them on without a second thought as soon as the first snow arrives. But have you ever asked yourself what goes into making your pair of skis or snowboard? In Le Châble, we’re lucky enough to host a snowsports equipment manufacturer where you can discover what goes on behind the scenes. Thanks to the First Track Lab, you’ll know exactly what’s strapped to your feet next time you head out on your skis or snowboard.

    The First Track Lab was created by three passionate snowsports fans intent on turning ideas and dreams into a reality. Their goals and expertise are founded on research, innovation and development, and they work for some of the biggest brands in the business.

    The First Track Lab love sharing their knowledge with other snowsports fans and will open the doors of their lab so you can learn about the different production stages your equipment goes through. From basic design and shaping through to graphics, you’ll learn all you need to know about skis and snowboards.
    What do I need to do?
    1. Online registration is mandatory before 4 pm the day before the trip. No reservation by email.
    2. Meet at the Lab at 4 pm, Chemin de Châble Creux 16, Le Châble VS.
    3. You will meet Thibaut who will show you the manufacturing process of skis and snowboards for iconic brands in the industry.
    4. The activity ends around 5 pm.

    Minimum age to take part in the activity: 7 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

    The First Track Lab is accessible by car (parking available in front of the building) or by public transport at the following times:

    Return trip on the Médran – Le Châble cable car,
    8am – 5.30pm (non-stop) until September 20th

    Option to return by PostBus

    Allow around 15 minutes for the walk between Le Châble railway station
    and the First Track Lab (red route).

    All activities organised by the Verbier – Val de Bagnes Tourist Office comply with the protection measures set out by the Federal Office of Public Health and the restrictions imposed by cantonal or federal authorities to fight the spread of COVID-19.
