Chance to meet a musher and her dogs

The stage? A family farm on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Sarreyer, in the heart of Upper Val de Bagnes. The leading lady? Aline, a young woman who grew up around animals and started living her dream a few years ago when she began working with dogs. The furry supporting actors? Casper, Heidi, Inook, Bip bip and Nox. This activity will plunge you into the fascinating world of dog sledding.

Your morning kicks off with Aline’s story. She will tell you about her love of animals and, more specifically, her passion for dog sledding. Then, you will get to know the pack, and Aline will explain the life of these dogs in more detail. What makes a dog suited to this task? What are the qualities needed for a good leader? How do you take care of the dogs during such an intense activity?

If you are interested, you can also check out the family farm and the other animals Aline looks after. Herens cattle, goats and cats all live in harmony to create the cosmopolitan environment of a working farm.

Finally, you will get the chance to taste the fruits of the family’s hard labour with a small aperitif made with products from the farm. What better way to round off an activity that will satisfy your curiosity and your stomach!

What do I need to do?
1. Online reservation required until 4 pm the day before. No reservation by email.
2. On the day of the trip, meet at Verbier Tourist Office at 1.15 pm or at Le Châble Verbier Tourist Office at 1.30 pm.
3. A taxi will take you to Sarreyer (around 45 min from Verbier).
4. After meeting Aline and her dogs, enjoy an aperitif with some local products.
5. Leave Sarreyer at around 4.15 pm to return to Verbier around 5 pm.

Minimum age to take part in the activity: 3 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
