Grand Raid BCVS

The GRAND RAID BCVS – this race attracts around 3,000 participants from 29 countries on average, as well as more than 30,000 spectators.
The GRAND RAID BCVS is establishing itself as the benchmark mountain bike race on the international scene. It rivals and – in terms of interest and the number of riders – exceeds the races of the Mountain Bike World Championships.

The marathon event’s starting point is the resort of Verbier in Val de Bagnes. The finishing line – after 125km and an elevation difference of over 5,000 metres – is reached in the charming resort of Grimentz in Val d’Anniviers. There is a choice of four starting points: Verbier (125km), Nendaz (92km), Hérémence (68km) or Evolène (37km).

The GRAND RAID BCVS is in the cross-country marathon (XCM) category. It is part of the “Union Cycliste Internationale” (UCI) and “Swiss Cycling” calendar of events. Licensed riders can therefore gain points towards the international rankings.
In the world of mountain biking, the GRAND RAID BCVS has gained a legendary reputation.
