Following in the footsteps of the former miners of Mont-Chemin, accompanied by a heritage guide, come and discover some of the riches buried in these larch and spruce forests: marble, magnetite, quartz, fluorite...
A rich and surprising history in a corner of paradise.
Equipped with helmet and headlamp, you will enter the Hubacher mine, described as the youngest in Switzerland.
The route starts from Bioley.
A tasting of local mountain cheeses will round off this afternoon of discovery.

What do I need to do?
1. Online registration is mandatory before 1 pm the day before the trip. No reservation by email. Activtiy 1x 50% with VIP Pass.
2. On the day of the trip, meet at Verbier Tourist Office at 1.30 pm (please note new address) or at Le Châble Tourist Office at 1.45 pm.
3. A taxi will take you to a mountain buvette (about 35 min. drive from Verbier).
4. Enjoy the hike (1 hour) to reach the entrance of the mine and continue the visit inside.
5. Return to the mountain buvette for a cheese tasting.
6. Departure from the mountain buvette around 5.15 pm and return to Verbier around 6 pm.
Participants must be in good physical condition, 1 hour walk to the mines. Remember to bring sturdy shoes and a warm jumper for the tour of the mine gallery.
In case of bad weather, the activity is maintained but the program will be adapted accordingly.
