The Intégrale du Rogneux would be nothing without the contribution of around 150 volunteers who work on race day — from the race office to on-course refreshment stations and the event kitchens. Course preparation alone requires around 200 hours of work, with a crew of 20 people to mark and signpost the route. A team of 5 mountain guides handles safety on the course, while 5 doctors and 3 first-aiders cover the medical side, stationed at strategic points along the route to intervene whenever needed.

The Intégrale du Rogneux is a popular ski mountaineering race for teams of two, organised by the Ski-Club Grand-Combin in Lourtier, in the Val de Bagnes. Founded in 2009, it alternates with the Patrouille des Glaciers in the ski mountaineering calendar.
The Intégrale du Rogneux is held every two years.
The race welcomes all levels, from recreational hikers and enthusiasts to elite athletes, as well as children and families. Its format appeals equally to popular participants and high-level competitors.
Three routes are on offer. Route A links Lourtier to the summit of the Rogneux (3,083 m) via the Cabane Brunet, with around 2,000 m of climbing and 2,000 m of descent. Route B follows the same course as far as the Cabane Brunet (around 1,000 m up / 1,000 m down), open to recreational, junior and cadet participants. A Children’s Route with start and finish in the village rounds out the programme.
Yes, a ski-carrying section is required on the final climb of Route A to reach the summit of the Rogneux. This is one of the technical features that defines the race.
Each participant must carry ski mountaineering equipment including touring bindings, climbing skins, poles, ankle-high boots, gloves, an avalanche transceiver (DVA/ARVA), shovel, probe, helmet, survival blanket and sunglasses. The full equipment list is available on the official website.
Yes, changing rooms, showers and hot meals are available at the school and community hall in Lourtier. Free parking is organised in the village, with a dedicated area for campervans.
