The Tour des Stations is a benchmark cycling event in the Swiss calendar, held every year in the Valais region. The route links mountain resorts through spectacular Alpine scenery, with an extraordinary elevation gain per kilometre. The event offers a unique challenge: climbing the equivalent of Everest’s elevation in a single day.

What race formats are available?

Four adult routes are on offer to suit all levels: the Mediofondo (77 km – 3,000 m elevation gain), the Granfondo (133 km – 4,700 m), the Superfondo (186 km – 7,000 m) and the Ultrafondo The Everest (242 km – 8,848 m). Every format offers total immersion in the Valais landscape, connecting exceptional Alpine resorts.

Is there a race for children?

Yes, the Bambinofondo is a criterium-style race for young riders, held on the Friday in Verbier. Seven age categories are available, with the number of laps adapted to each age group.

Can I participate as a team?

Yes, a Team Ultrafondo format is available for those who want to take on the Ultrafondo challenge together.

With its various formats, the Tour des Stations appeals to both experienced climbers and passionate riders seeking a personal challenge. From the iconic Ultrafondo (242 km – 8,848 m elevation gain), a true Everest of cycling, to the Superfondo (186 km – 7,000 m), as well as the Granfondo (133 km – 4,700 m) and the Mediofondo (77 km – 3,000 m), each course offers a full immersion in the spectacular landscapes of Valais and connects outstanding alpine resorts.
