The YETI Xtreme Verbier is the grand finale of the Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance. It is here, in Verbier, that the FWT Champion titles are decided, on the legendary Bec des Rosses.
The FWT by Peak Performance is the world’s leading competitive freeride circuit. Each season, it brings together the best international riders in ski and snowboard, men and women, on some of the most demanding mountain faces in the world.
The Bec des Rosses is the iconic face on which the competition takes place in Verbier. Reaching 3,223 metres with a 600-metre vertical drop and 43-degree slopes, it is the steepest and most technical terrain on the FWT circuit. Riders navigate tight couloirs, exposed ridges and massive cliffs.
Four categories compete: ski men, ski women, snowboard men and snowboard women.
Yes, a spectator area — the Alpina Viewing Area — is set up on the mountain to watch the runs. A village with stands, entertainment and a screen is also accessible in Verbier to soak up the atmosphere of the competition.
Verbier is easily accessible by train. By coming via public transport, you can benefit from a discount on the ski pass. The exact details are published on the official event website each year.
All information — programme, access, results and replays — is available on the official website.
