La Patrouille des Glaciers constitue la plus grande course de ski-alpinisme au monde et l’événement majeur de cette discipline en plein essor. Elle relie Zermatt à Verbier sur un parcours d'une longueur de 57,5 km.
The PdG (Patrouille des Glaciers) is not a race for faint-hearted athletes. The course from Zermatt to Verbier requires special, meticulous preparation, both mentally and physically. The high organisational standard truly demonstrates the Swiss Army’s calibre.
The unique features of this race are the length and altitude of the course profile as well as the demands of the alpine environment. The PdG can boast of being a race beyond all extremes, with 4,386 metres of elevation gain over 57.5 kilometres of high mountain terrain on the Z course, culminating at Tête Blanche at an altitude of 3,650 metres.
Patrouille des Glaciers and partner Swisscom are delighted to announce the launch of a new and improved web app for PdG 2026. The new app simply needs installing on your smartphone and you’re good to go. Whether you’re participating yourself or supporting friends and family, you can access all the latest information live on any device without additional downloads. Simply tap to start: live.pdg.ch.
