Weaving workshops with artist Marie Jambers, offering a simple and fun introduction to hand weaving, creating bonds and working together.
Marie Jambers is an artist and craftswoman from Sion. Her work reflects a keen interest in the home in the broadest sense, using shapes, materials, colours and techniques to explore the place of textiles in our daily lives. Deeply moved by nature and the cycle of life, she questions the lifespan of objects, the time it takes to make them and the time we have to enjoy them. She works with plant and animal materials, as well as second-hand items. Her practice is rooted in local craftsmanship, combining traditional and contemporary techniques. Through her work, she questions the relationship between the body and objects, living beings and space, inviting us to come together.
