Organisation of the European Men's Downhill and Super G Cups from 26 to 31 January
Alpine ski racing is very popular in our region. There are no fewer than six ski clubs regularly practising this sport in our ski area, which has three training stadiums. What's more, our region has produced many champions, and not the least of them. What's more, the promising new generation will help to maintain the reputation of our destination and our canton.
In 2024, following on from the 2023 Swiss Championships, the organisation of two downhill events and a men's European Cup super giant have been organised with the aim of one day becoming a major alpine skiing competition. These events also give our local competitors a chance to showcase their skills, much to the delight of the region's residents and guests. That's why we're once again organising the European Men's Downhill and Super G Cups from 26 to 31 January.
This initiative is also in line with the Val de Bagnes municipality's support for this sport.
The ski clubs generate a great deal of income for local businesses thanks to their activities. We can also count on strong local support in terms of voluntary work.
