To collect, record and maintain digital archives to record the evolution of Verbier and the Val de Bagnes since 1900
The aims of the Association Notre|Our Verbier are :
- to collect, record, classify and maintain digital archives, such as photos, videos, audio and other documents recording the evolution of Verbier and the Val de Bagnes since 1900.
- To document its past and its history as well as the present
- To preserve the heritage of this mountainous region
- to create a link between its members and to develop a spirit of collaboration and solidarity between them
- to encourage the active participation of local actors
We are not professional archivists. We believe that a community memory project develops organically. The digital archive we have created, www.notreverbier.ch, has been well received by the community.
We want to continue to develop the project and seek cooperation for our mutual benefit. We therefore created the Notre|Our Verbier Association on 26.08.22 to pursue our goals. The founding members are Michael Constant, André Guinnard, Jane McLaughlin, Fredi Meyer, Paola Moehl Pignatelli and Mark Shapiro.
