The Pierre Avoi, a must-see peak!
Even though its name comes from the dialect word “avouè” (pointed) and not from the verb “à voir” (to see), this viewing point at an altitude of 2'473 metres is still one of the region’s mustsee destinations. Hikers can reach the summit from the car park in Croix-de-Coeur or from Savoleyres after a cable car ascent from Verbier or La Tzoumaz. It is not recommended for anyone who suffers from vertigo. The Pierre Avoi also encourages climbers to push themselves to the limit by offering up breathtaking views of Mont- Blanc, Grand Combin, Verbier, Val de Bagnes and the Rhône Valley.
