Based in Verbier since 1995, Sophie Morard is a multidisciplinary architect who works mainly in the private sector, with projects of different sizes and functions, each client being unique.
Specialised in housing, she evolves in two distinct environments, mountain architecture and the more contemporary plain architecture. Her basic training was completed by a master's degree in construction management (federal patent) and by a course in architecture at the Atheneum school in Lausanne. After a few years' experience at the Hameau de Verbier, under the direction of Pierre Dorsaz, she worked as a partner in the architectural firm S.Morard & P.Coupy sa from 2001-2015. In 2015 she founded her own office in Verbier. Her philosophy is to work with a small team to accompany her clients from the pre-project to the realisation and interior design, while keeping control of the whole process. Her motivation is to take into account the client's wishes and to create a team with him in order to achieve the final result to the satisfaction of his client.
