At SKIBROA we re- & up-cycle used sporting equipment into useful objects and works of art.
SKIBROA (SKI & Bike Recycling in Objects & Arts) is non-profit association advocating for the respect and protection of our environment, as well as the sharing of cultural and social values. Founded with the desire to raise awareness and create new values for objects a priori destined for destruction.
Based in Verbier, SKIBROA has started to recuperate used sporting equipment, in principal skis & snowboards, from Sport Shops, from the collection and recycling centers of our Commune Val de Bagnes and from private persons.
Today we create objects to give a second, even third life to this ‘raw materials’. This is known as up-cycling. We design and produce, for interior fittings and outdoor installations, useful and decorative accessories, furniture and furnishings. We also encourage, promote and support the realisation of particular artistic projects.
And we research to find other new solutions for the use of these materials which otherwise are doomed for incineration.
