Verbier Tourism has introduced “Rangers”, true guardians of nature, present in the field during the summer season. Their mission is to raise visitors’ awareness of harmonious coexistence with the natural environment while assessing the impact of tourism on the Val de Bagnes region.
As partners in the development of tourism, the Rangers play a key role in promoting responsible behaviour and respect for nature.
They provide valuable information about the area, highlight the importance of protecting natural resources and contribute to better management of frequently visited areas, particularly alpine pastures and protected zones. Their approach, based on dialogue and education, helps inform, prevent and, when necessary, remind visitors of the rules in cases of inappropriate behaviour.
Through their presence, the Rangers embody the commitment of Verbier Tourism and the Municipality of Val de Bagnes to sustainable and respectful tourism.
