While there are sections where you can warm up your legs and lengthen your strides, there are also several breaks in invigorating and picturesque settings: the Vernays chapel, a "landscape" moment; Sarreyer, a thirst-quenching oasis with its Fontaines alleyway; Lourtier; Champsec; and finally Bruson. The 21-km trail isn't too difficult, aside from the first warm-up climb from Châble tourist office to Fontenelle, then another 200m climb from Champsec to the Bisse des Ravines. You might plan a picnic lunch on the pretty terrace along the bisse [irrigation channel] with Verbier as a backdrop. You can also pop into one of the artists’ studios, whose inspiring sculptures line the path. And finally, to end your loop on a tasty note, head to La Brusonette grocery store to pick up some local products.
