Halfway between hiking and climbing, the Via Ferrata allows you to evolve in a vertiginous setting in complete safety. The Madzeiria site, at the bottom of the Val de Bagnes, offers a route through magnificent gorges sculpted by glacier water. The course is 600 metres long, with a succession of monkey bridges, footbridges and ladders above the river Dranse. The two parts of the course, the "Saxifrage" and the "Tichodrome" can be done in a row or separately. The Tyrolean traverse will give your arms a break and will be a great experience for young and old alike!

Inexperienced people are advised to bring a mountain guide with them.

Each year the via ferrata is open from 1 July to 31 October at the earliest, in order to limit disturbances during the bird nesting period. Access is from the Mauvoisin hotel (free parking nearby), follow the signposted path back down to Madzeiria. It takes about 10 minutes to get there.
Equipment hire available at the Fionnay tourist office. Complete kits or separate rental of harness, lanyard and/or helmet. Please enquire beforehand about availability.
Rental equipment also available at the Hôtel de Mauvoisin.
