Vollèges

Rooted in tradition, Vollèges and its surroundings are the true gateway to the Val de Bagnes.

A bell tower five centuries old. The smell of bread fresh from the oven. Vollèges opens the door to the Val de Bagnes, and the tone is set: here, traditions stand on their own. The Atelier des Terroirs gathers the people of Vollèges around the “Fratze” sausage and the “Cressin”, a local bread. Above the village, Mont Chemin rolls out 680 hectares of wooded pastures, among the largest in Europe. The trails head off towards the alpine pastures of the Lein, the Tronc and the Planches, then climb to La Crevasse, 1,807 M, facing the Entremont. On foot, by mountain bike, on snowshoes. Each season keeps its own pace, and none is in a hurry.
