Description
On Friday 31 July, La Tzoumaz celebrates Swiss National Day on the Place Centrale in Riddes. With traditional music, a lantern parade and a village dance, this evening brings together young and old alike for a convivial gathering in the heart of the village.
Evening programme
6.00 pm — Opening and alpine atmosphere
The evening begins with the “Echos des Vallées” alphorn ensemble, followed by the Fanfare l’Abeille brass band, creating a distinctly traditional atmosphere.
In the evening — Lantern parade
Children take centre stage with a lantern parade under the marquee, an event eagerly anticipated every year by families visiting La Tzoumaz.
Official proceedings
Speech by Jérôme Bagnoud, president of the Valais Romand Wheelchair Club, as part of the official National Day celebrations.
Public Dance
The evening concludes with music and dancing to the sounds of the Scotch Orchestra, until 2.00 am.
On-site catering
Food and drinks are provided by the Etablons Ski Club throughout the evening, in the marquee on the Place Centrale.
