Le Châble - Le Levron - Col du Lein - Saxon - Martigny - Col des Planches - Sembrancher - Le Châble
This route starts at Le Châble. Set off towards Vollèges to reach the start of the Col du Lein climb via Le Levron. The summit of the pass has an untarred forest road section. Once at the summit, redescend towards Saxon along a long and winding descent with a plunging view over the Rhône plain. Cross the Valais vineyard between Saxon and Charrat before coming to the foot of your next ascent in Martigny. After a steep start to the climb, the slope eases off slightly through the villages of Chemin-Dessous then Chemin-Dessus. Once you’ve reached the Col des Planches, you’ll redescend towards Sembrancher through Vens. From Sembrancher, a final deceptively flat uphill stretch takes you back to Le Châble.
