Discover Europe's highest arch dam by bike, through tunnels and galleries, then skirt the shores of Lac de Mauvoisin. A challenging climb takes you up to the Cabane de Chanrion, in the heart of unspoilt Alpine wilderness.
You'll start your cycle tour at the foot of the imposing Mauvoisin dam (1,976 metres), at 250 metres the highest arch dam in Europe. After a short climb to the top of the dam, you'll enjoy a breathtaking view of the Val de Bagnes.
The route continues with a few twists and turns through galleries and tunnels cut into the mountain, a unique cycling experience. Once you're back in daylight, enjoy a pleasant ride along Lac de Mauvoisin, right in the heart of the Haut Val de Bagnes protected area.
From Le Vingt-Huit, at the end of the dam, you can plunge into the heart of the wilderness. A challenging climb of around an hour then awaits you to reach the Cabane de Chanrion, perched at 2,462 metres. Here you can relax on the terrace while admiring the Alpine panorama.
The return journey takes the same route, once again taking in the breathtaking scenery.
