French artist Camille Llobet explores the moraines of the Mer de Glace in thirty large-format photographs that stretch along the top of the Mauvoisin dam.
At the Mauvoisin dam, the Musée de Bagnes' summer exhibition presents the work of artist Camille Llobet, a series of photographs based on the moraines of the Mer de Glace, piles of rocky debris left behind by the retreat of the glaciers. Through framing that is sometimes macroscopic, sometimes panoramic, she reveals a mineral landscape of striking materials and shapes, punctuated by rare silhouettes or plants. The eye follows the strata and sandy walls of this breccia deserted by the ice.
To complement the exhibition at the Mauvoisin dam, the video installation ‘Glacière’ is being shown at the Musée de Bagnes.
