Les Ruinettes - La Chaux - Cabane du Mont Fort
Depart from Médran in Verbier and take the cable car to Les Ruinettes. When you arrive, you will see a restaurant called Le Mouton Noir. The route you need to follow is located below this establishment and is marked with pink stakes. This path, which runs along the hillside, will take you to La Chaux, where the Combins massif will gradually come into view as you walk. At this point, you will have completed the first stage of the route and can stop at the Dahu restaurant, which you will see on your left.
For the more adventurous, the Mont Fort hut is not far away! After a few metres of descent, the path climbs again and goes around the Gentianes facility on the right. You will then climb for a few minutes alongside the cable car and turn right until you reach the foot of a large pylon. At the foot of the pylon, you will see the hut above you. A final, steeper climb will take you to your destination.
