As the leading producer of Swiss wines, Provins is a leading company in the Valais economy. Its production represents about 20% of that of the Valais and 10% of that of Switzerland. The company harvests grapes from nearly 800 hectares of vines, spread throughout the Valais vineyards.
In addition to a well thought-out wine production, based on about twenty grape varieties, Provins adds a proven and constantly developed oenological know-how. In Sion, the bottling plant, with a total capacity of 10 million litres, is among the most modern in Switzerland.
Certified ISO 9001 (management) since 1999 and ISO 14001 (environment) since 2004, Provins became the first Valais winery to obtain the Valais Excellence label. It was also the first Swiss winery to meet the requirements of the ISO 22'000 standard (food safety) in 2007.
