Signposted and secure freeride itinerary
Vast wild areas such as the Vallon d’Arbi have formed Verbier’s reputation as a resort for freeride lovers.

The entrance to the Vallon d’Arbi can be found to the left near the bottom of the Lac des Vaux ski run (2.1). The entrance is an obvious narrow valley, easily recognisable by the large oragne netting used to indicate if this area is officially ‘open / ouvert’ or ‘closed / fermé’. Before departing check the electronic notice boards to see if the La Tzoumaz telecabin is operating.

Content collected from the Freeride Verbier book, it is available in the tourist office and the ski shops.

Please note :
Itineraries are officially designated off-piste routes, marked on the piste map as yellow lines, a single line of yellow poles in the snow marks the direction of an itinerary route. Itineraries are bounded 15m on each side of the yellow poles.
