The hut is a key stop along the Tour du Val de Bagnes, the Tour des Grands Barrages and the famous Chamonix–Zermatt route.

Imagine life in a mountain hut, without ropes or ice axes, without a 4 a.m. wake-up call, and without scratchy blankets. Imagine this refuge perched above a small lake at an altitude of 2,250 metres, in the heart of a nature reserve steeped in legend and home to ibex, marmots and chamois, just a 4-hour walk from Verbier or 2 hours from Fionnay. You are no longer dreaming, welcome to Louvie! Lunch A simple and friendly menu is available for adventurous hikers. Among the dishes on offer are Valais platters, cheese fondue, polenta, cheese crusts, spaghetti and, if there is any left, a delicious slice of homemade tart!
