    An adventure in Martigny
This living museum is a meeting place for people and St. Bernard dogs from the Great St. Bernard Pass. The legendary St. Bernard dogs are an integral part of the museum, which also features works of art and objects detailing the history of the hospice, the Great St. Bernard Pass and, naturally, the dogs themselves. This heritage is showcased through a modern, interactive range of exhibits, all with the aim of promoting Switzerland’s national dog as a universal icon.

Barry live! The ground floor houses the museum’s main attraction – the area where we keep our famous hospice dogs. The indoor areas are connected to an outdoor enclosure within the park, allowing you to meet the dogs at close quarters. “Le Collier d’Or” restaurant offers visitors daily menus, seasonal specialities, snacks and regional produce. On request, we would be happy to organise a private event for you. In the museum gift shop, you will discover a wide range of souvenirs relating to the St. Bernard dogs..

Upstairs on the first floor of the museum, we invite you to get to know the history of the Great St. Bernard Pass, its hospice and its dogs. Discover works of art dedicated to St. Bernard dogs, from paintings and prints to 100-year-old advertisements and even comics and films. The museum also features temporary, innovative exhibitions, which are changed regularly.

The Barry Family Visitor Experience, located on the second floor, is a fun space for explorers of all ages. In addition, through direct contact with the dogs, children have the opportunity to learn how they behave and find out about the different breeds, characteristics and training of our four-legged friends.
