Walk amongst the larch trees and discover Valais in a new light.
Created to mark the 200th anniversary of Valais joining the Swiss Confederation (1815–2015), this educational trail crosses one of the largest wooded pastures in Europe. It celebrates the larch tree, chosen as the symbol of the bicentenary. This easy hike invites you to learn more about the canton whilst walking through enchanting forests. The route features 34 interactive stations focusing on local flora, fauna and geography. The trail’s starting point is near Goilly lake, at the Col du Lein.
