Description
A demanding trail with 2,000 m of elevation gain and an equal descent, surrounded by spectacular views of the Grand Combin massif !
Starting in Lourtier, the route climbs to the Brunet mountain hut, where you can refuel after an initial 1,000 metres of elevation gain. The trail continues towards Becca de Sery, offering superb views of Petit Combin. A steep, rocky climb leads to Col des Avouillons, where spectacular views open up over the Corbassière Glacier and the majestic Grand Combin.
After this alpine reward, a steep descent is followed by a short but intense climb to the Panossière mountain hut. Once refuelled, the long descent continues along a trail lined with green alders and rocky terrain, leading to the Corbassière irrigation channel. The route finishes with a picturesque passage through the hamlets of Fionnay and Plamproz, adding a final touch of authentic alpine charm.
