Head for one of the most beautiful high-altitude lakes in the Val de Bagnes.

Whether you’re here for hiking, trail running or fishing, everyone can enjoy the mountains here in their own way. Fancy a spot of fishing? A licence is required and can be purchased directly at the Cabane de Louvie or online at valais-peche.ch. Remember to check the opening periods in advance. From Fionnay, the path climbs gradually up to the lake and the hut, perfect for a sunny break with views of the peaks. To make the most of the moment, you can walk around the lake in about 35 minutes. Depending on the time of day and the season, it is not uncommon to spot chamois, ibex or marmots. Allow around 2 hours 15 minutes for the ascent and 1 hour 25 minutes for the return to Fionnay Please take the time to assess your physical condition and abilities. Use of the various routes is always at your own risk.
