A single vertical wheel for sawing, grinding or pressing.

Like most of the mills in the Bagnes valley, those of Sarreyer were content with double horizontal wheels until the community creation, in 1837, of a saw and a mill driven by a single vertical wheel. Disused following the arrival of electricity and the massive abandonment of cereal farming, the mill has now been fully restored and is regularly put into operation.
