La Tzoumaz

Family activities and snow sports are the order of the day in this charming resort overlooking the Rhône valley floor.

La Tzoumaz, which used to be known as ‘Mayens-de-Riddes’, definitely lives up to its new name! After all, ‘tzoumer’ does means ‘to rest’ in Valais dialect. But while these places are indeed dedicated to relaxation, they also offer many sports and fun activities for all the family. Up at an altitude of 2,200 metres, the Savoleyres ski area’s two slopes, facing north and south, offer visitors perfect snow conditions, maximum sunshine and glorious views of Verbier and surrounding peaks. Directly connected to the 410 kilometres of slopes that make up the 4 Valleys, the ski area is a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts of all abilities. Do you want to have fun or push yourself to the limit? Try your hand at freeriding in the Vallon d’Arbi, challenge yourself on the Audi quattro funslope obstacle course, launch yourself down the famous Tzoumaz toboggan run or test your speed in the arena of the Savoleyres competition stadiums.
