An ideal route for a great endurance run, alternating gradual climbs with gentle descents.
Starting from the Côt car park, the route gradually climbs through the forest to the Larzey alpine pasture. The ascent continues towards the summit of Pasay, then Grand Tsai, offering glimpses of winter landscapes along the way as you pass the ski lifts. The trail then winds along a ridge between the municipalities of Bagnes and Orsières, alternating between short descents and more sustained climbs up to Mont Brûlé.
At the summit, enjoy exceptional panoramic views over both valleys before heading to the Mille mountain hut, where Odile and Pierre-Elie Jacquemettaz welcome you with warm hospitality. After one last look at Rogneux and Vélan, the descent begins via the Mille stables, then follows the more runnable Chemin des Ânes, lined with rhododendrons, to the Croix du Six Blanc. From there, it is just a final stretch back to your starting point at La Côt.
