Up there, Verbier takes on a whole new dimension. A climb through forest paths and alpine terrain leads to one of the most beautiful panoramic views around Verbier.

After crossing the resort to Patier, the route climbs towards the Chapel of St Christopher. At a place called ‘Le Château’, you pass the ruins of an old building dating from 1287, before reaching the impressive Bisse waterfalls with views of the Catogne. The climb then continues via the Crêtes de la Marlena to the Pierre Avoi. The final few metres require a bit of care, but the view at the top is well worth the effort: the Alps, the Rhône Valley, Verbier and the Val de Bagnes all come into view at a single glance. Return possible by cable car from Savoleyres. Please take the time to assess your physical condition and abilities. Use of the various routes is always at your own risk.
