Explore the region on an enriching walk to gain a better understanding of its natural environment and heritage.
Starting from Sembrancher, just behind the Migros, cross the bridge and turn right. The trail initially runs alongside the Dranse before crossing through the vineyards and gradually reaching the Trappistes area. The loop then continues through the gravel pit before returning to Sembrancher via a pleasant dirt track along the left bank of the Dranse.
Open to the public since summer 2020, the ‘LaboNature Entremont’ trail invites you to discover the area through a series of information boards and 10 fascinating themes:
- the renaturation of the Dranse,
- Sembrancher and transport routes,
- the biodiversity of steppe habitats,
- the local economy,
- the vineyards,
- the forest,
- the mining and spiritual history of the Trappists,
- the geology of the site.
